Database Connection
Before start to input data, you need to establish the connection to the database. You only need to do it once when first time running the program.
For Demo version and single-user license:
1. For single-user liense, make sure the computer is connected to a network. If you used the MAC address of the Ethernet card when making purchase, make sure the computer is connected to a network by cable. Otherwise, if you used the MAC address of the wireless adapter, make sure the computer is connected to a network by WIFI.
The MAC address you used for purchase is in the user information which you can get from here or in the e-mail with the license code.
2. Click the menu Database->Open Database File. In the pop-up window, click "Browse" button to select the file "MouseRoomDEMO.sdf" or "MouseRoom.sdf" and input user name and license code.
For multi-user or multi-lab license:
1. Make sure the server and client computers are connected to the same network segment by cable.
2. Click the menu Database->Connect to Server. In the pop-up window, input the license code, IP address, and the password you assigned when installing SQL Server 2008 Express.
To get the IP address of the server, type "cmd" in the search box on the start menu on the server computer. Run cmd.exe, type "ipconfig" and then press "Enter" button. "IPv4 address" under "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection" on the returned list is the IP address of the server computer.

Please use a desktop PC with a static IP address as the server. Server and client computers must be within the same network segment. Please contact your network administrator if not sure.
